Zum Abschluss ihrer Amtszeit als Bundestagsabgeordnete hat sich Kordula Kovac ins Ehrenbuch der Gemeinde Oberwolfach eingetragen. „Es ist mir eine ganz besondere Freude, mich heute ins Ehrenbuch von Oberwolfach eintragen zu dürfen. Obwohl ich seit über 30 Jahren in Wolfach lebe, habe ich mich auch Oberwolfach immer verbunden gefühlt!“ so Kordula Kovac.
Der Oberwolfacher Bürgermeister Matthias Bauernfeind hatte Kovac zu sich ins Rathaus eingeladen: „Kordula Kovac ist eine engagierte Bürgerin und Politikerin und hat viel für Oberwolfach getan. Als Initiatorin des Besucherbergwerks Grube Wenzel in Oberwolfach hat sie einen überregional bekannten touristischen Anziehungspunkt geschaffen. Als Politikerin, deren Herz für den ländlichen Raum schlägt, gilt ihr Einsatz in Südbaden auch immer Oberwolfach. Ich freue mich, dass sie sich in unserem Ehrenbuch verewigt hat.“
Im Jahr 1987 zog die Bundestagsabgeordnete Kordula Kovac mit ihrer Familie nach Wolfach. Sie gehörte dem Bundestag in der Zeit von 2013 bis 2017 und 2021 an.
